Losing weight and maintaining that loss is a lifelong venture. It requires a commitment to yourself to eat healthy and exercise. Remember there are no quick fixes. You have to establish lifelong eating habits and some kind of exercise regimen.

This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to eat some of your favorite foods. You will incorporate them; otherwise you will feel deprived and you will fail. This is why diets don’t work. The more you deny yourself the foods you like, the more likely you are to eventually go on a food frenzy. Instead, enjoy small amounts of your favorite treats, and fill up on healthy, low-calorie foods so your stomach isn’t growling day and night.

On your lifestyle change, you will have good days and bad days, but you will learn that you feel better physically and emotionally when you are eating healthy and exercising. When a bad day happens anyway, don’t despair. Go right back to your healthy lifestyle with new resolve. One bad day won’t undo all the progress you’ve made. Nobody’s perfect, and you shouldn’t feel like a failure if you have a bad day. That’s just life.
